My Big Leap into Adulthood

I’ve been gone for so long from you guys! Why?! My transition into being a “big girl” has been insane! So what have I been up to? Offically becoming a HOMEOWNER!

After taking the time to decide if this was the best decision to me, I want to talk to you guys about why becoming a homeowner ended up being the best decision I’ve made yet.

• No more worrying about if my rent will shoot up $200.00 every month!

• I can buy my own furniture and not have to worry about carrying it with me wherever I go

• Speaking of which, no more moving home to mom and dad over and over again!

• Establishing credit for myself

• INVESTING an a property, knowing your money isn’t just being thrown away

• Understanding and learning what it really means to be on your own and taking care of yourself

• Becoming more independent financially, as well as understanding all the ins and outs of taking care of a home and yourself

• Best part is…never having to rely on anyone else, so no excuses!

And although these are all great things, I have also discovered how difficult it can be to accomplish all of these things successfully. Money may be tight for the first few months, but with long term financial planning and plenty of loving support from the people around me, I am flying high right now.

But I mean… I wouldn’t be opposed to accepting cash donations! ;)

Oh and one of my favorite places to get a lot of awesome stuff for a great price? IKEA!! It gives you a place to be inspired and get creative.
