The Tattoo That Tells a Big Story
Have you ever felt that a situation was so out of your control, that you either start crying, or bottle it up until you absolutely explode? What about that literal “heart-breaking” feeling? And no, I’m not talking about the petty break-ups, I’m talking about that real feeling of your heart just shattering to pieces, the feeling where you have nothing left to give, and are ultimately numb. Now, if you could choose to not feel so much pressure and pain, would you? But for some people it’s not a choice they have. It’s their entire life…trying to battle their demons everyday. A demon that is so overpowering, it makes them question everything they have to deal with around them.
The semicolon tattoo tells a story for many people. A story that doesn’t have one ending, or rather, an ending at all. PROJECT SEMICOLON EXISTS TO ENCOURAGE, LOVE AND INSPIRE.” This tattoo, this symbol—it gives people a chance to tell their story. It represents a lot of different things—all of which are things that many people have a hard time understanding unless they’ve felt it themselves. People don’t choose to feel pain or anxiousness. This baby sized symbol raises awareness to continue the story telling that so many people never had the chance to tell. Project Semicolon is one of the most beautiful things I have ever heard of. What a wonderful way to take something so little, and make it a story of your own. The semicolon tattoo certainly has a powerful story behind it. How will you tell your story?
